Competitors Have Been Around Just as Long
If the company wants to progress chances are they will want to retain customers and provide great service. One of the biggest success stories is Go Daddy.Since domains began to be registered Go Daddy jumped in as one of the original companies. GoDaddy gives out a godaddy coupon for almost all their services. At one point in time are only a few then many and then a few again area After the ups and downs only a couple are still around. This is not a 100 year business but more like a 10 year business. All of the competitors have been around for about 10 years. If you compare the second runner-up they are only a fraction of the number one place company. Clearly the number one is much further along. Is a lots easier comparison when they all start at the same point. That is simpler to truly look at apples to apples. While playing armchair quarterback is interesting to see what the differences were in the past. And much more easier to see the actual winner when it all started around the same time. Go Daddy’s commercials were unconventional. Yet they must have worked since at three times the amount of domains as others. But in my belief more importantly they have an incredible retention approach. They like to give discounts to their current customers and not just the new ones. Is very uncommon. A great retention approach.Typically when times are problematic trying to gain new customers they will try to milk their current ones. They may even increase prices slightly. Now once the economy becomes around those customers may not be very happy with the provider. So competitors should take note. Matter what the industry helping your customers and bad times is a brilliant decision. It makes a lot of sense to assist your clients when things are not going well. We all know that it is easier to sell to a current customer than to gain a new one.
